Frequently Asked Questions

+ How do I know if my ceiling is concrete?

The most fail proof method is to directly tap on the ceiling. If the ceiling is concrete, you'll know right away as you'll be touching painted concrete. Another method is to look for different ceiling heights. i.e. Bulk heads. If there is a drop in ceiling height, the highest ceiling is usually concrete. Washrooms almost always have a dropped ceiling so your bathroom ceiling can be used as a reference point as well.

+ I do not have a light on my ceiling, can I still get a LightBox?

Yes! It is easiest to already have an existing light fixture, however it is not necessary. If you have a nearby light switch we can utilize the power from this switch to power the LightBox. The only difference is a white conduit will be ran from the behind the LightBox to the top of the wall containing the switch. The rest of the wire is hidden behind the wall!

+ How long does it take to install a Lightbox?

It only takes 2-3 hours to install a LightBox and we make sure we bring enough guys to finish even the biggest job in 1 day to minimize disturbance as much as possible.

+ After I place my deposit how long does it take to manufacture my LightBox?

We now stock most of the standard sizes so its just a matter of when we can get a team out to do the installation for you!
